The free Claude workshop
Want to actually learn Claude? 🧠
Don't take another course. Do one thing — the one you probably always meant to get around to — for yourself: take your home budget under control.
The finance gurus always told you to write down every expense and review it regularly. I never had the patience for it. With an LLM it sounds dead simple (it isn't), but along the way you'll work through half the AI stack and learn a pile of things you didn't know — including a few about your own money.
📥 1. Download your bank statements and make Claude read them → working with files and data.
🏷️ 2. Categorise the transactions so you don't blow the whole context window on one query → context economy.
🔍 3. Hit a charge through some payment gateway? Let the agent go dig through your email and find what you actually bought → an agent with tools.
🔮 4. Add a forecast — how much you'll spend next month.
And suddenly that "little home project" taught you more than ten tutorials, and quietly stretched your comfort zone too — because now you have to sit the rest of the household down for a serious talk 🚀.
Who bought me a Minecraft server 🕹️?
One warning, because someone rightly pointed it out: don't take the easy path and pull random skills off the net. Parsing a statement, sure, you can borrow that. But wiring the whole thing around what actually matters to you — that's the part you have to do yourself. A downloaded skill skips exactly the step that teaches you anything. It took me four iterations to get mine right, and that was the point. Enthusiasm plus a model that's happy to tell you you're brilliant is a fast way to ship something that looks finished and understands nothing. Learn to ask the question first.
